Sighs of Contentment

Hello lovers!!  I hope that you are all well.  I am extremely happy to report that for the first time in a long time, life is good.  Well...life is always good, but I'm happy now.  I just had to take a step back and really take a good look at all the amazing things that are happening in my life and that make my life worth being happy for.

First of all, I have the world's most amazing and supportive husband.  I love him more than words can explain and I thank GOD every single day for bringing him into my life.

I have a pretty wonderful family.  While we don't always see eye to eye, there is an amazing love between all of us.

I have a best friend that I can do nothing with and still have an amazing time, and no matter how long we go between seeing each other or talking to each other we both know that we will always be there for each other no matter  what.   I love and miss you very very much Quinnifred!!

I have the sweetest puppy in the universe!!  She is wonderful and her unconditional love warms my heart all the time.   Dakota, along with our snuggly puddy cats bring me smiles.

Of course there are numerous other every day little things that bring happiness to my life, whether it's a hug from one of my patients or seeing someone at the grocery store that I haven't seen in a long time.  Life is wonderful.

My Hubby's Blog

Hey kids!! I hope this finds you all well and happy!

My husband just started blogging about being an attorney/house husband.  Law of the House will be a witty, fun little story about house husbandry, lawyering, and life in general.  I hope you check it out.

When All Else Fails...Talk About The Weather

The Weather...anyone can talk about the weather, which is probably why when humans find ourselves in awkward or strange situations, the weather always comes up in conversations.

I myself am turning to the weather today as a subject simply because I have nothing else to really talk about.  I have started so many posts since last time I actually published one, but I have failed to publish these because Im tired of not having anything positive to say...simply put, I need an attitude adjustment...so until that happens...let's talk about the weather...and besides, the weather has been a pretty interesting topic in Small Town these days.

The weather here in Small Town and all across Montana has been pretty dreary and rainy for the past month or so.  Scattered with a few sunny days here an there it's mostly been wet and chilly.  Parts of our state are literally covered in water and many towns flooded and stranded.  They say this has not happened in like 75 years or so that the whole state is basically under a flood warning.

Now, where I live is a little town next to the Missouri River and down the road, she is starting to flood the smaller towns that dot the county.  I am personally lucky because where I live is far enough from the water (creek) on our land that we won't have to worry about it flooding any structures, although it is starting to get scarily high for our neighbors.  This is kind of scary for us Montanans because it's still continues to rain and the snow in the mountains hasn't  really started to melt yet due to unseasonably chilly weather.  So in short we have a long haul in front of us.

My heart goes out to the people who are losing their homes and livelihoods from this.  Ranchers who are losing livestock and farmers who are losing crops, and small business owners who's businesses are being flooded and ruined. Living in a highly agricultural state this really blows for the people who work so hard for a gamble, and if you think about it...farmers are the biggest gamblers out there anyways.

Anyhoo...that's my story, I could go on but I have to get to work...lives are depending on it haha.  (Scary to think that it's true in some cases ,eh?)

I hope you are all staying dry!  Come on sunshine!
